There is only distance of 140 KM from Ludhiana to Jakhal but the trains consume more than 5 hours now a days whereas there is complete sunshine in the route i.e no fog or rain but the trains are at the mercy ofdrivers and its guards. Even the Trains Ticket Examiner do not like to wear there uniform or there name plate during there duty hours

bahut acchi train hai.ye train punjab mail ko bhi fail kar sakti hai.lakin shriganganagar se time bahut galat hai.delhi jane ke liye diiket ho jati hai kya app kalpana kar sakte hai ki ganganagar se 15 private buses chalti hai or kamyab kyo hai kyo ki yaha se sirf toofan 3007 ekdam raddi train hai.ya to toofan ko suferfast kar diya jaye ya phir 2715c ko jari rakha jaye.abha(3007) ko to via bhatinda sirsa hisar bhiwani delhi chalya ja sakta hai isse sirsa bhi express train ho jaige or rush bhi kafi milega ...

I totally agree with you.
the bus service in Punjab is successful due to lack to good trains. People are ready to pay higher amounts than train in buses because the want good & fast service.
Same thing is also on the route of Bhatinda-Chandigarh route.

and that also not a direct train , that JU KLK express goes via Umb i.e Ambala catt. which results in more 1and a half hr journey , which no one prefers. I think in chandigarh,passengers interested of going to punjab side amritsar,jallandher,bhatinda,ludhiana,patiala,abohar,jammu,udhampur etc. will never prefer a train for the same..

Some Year Back I was travelling between Chandigarh-Rampuraphul-Chandigarh @ every week end regularly for one year but I travelled in train just only once because of rout is more time consuming, I always gave preference to Pepsu Road Transport Corporation Buses which are available at every 10 minutes & just took app 4 hrs to reach Rampuraphul
The train take much time due to long route and single line

One more point I would like to add Varun Ji
as you said JU KLK express in not a direct train is not right.
Its a direct train but it runs on long route(via UMB) and the loco changes its side at UMB thats why it takes too much time.
No other rail route is available between BTI KLK.
