arindamdas~ 977 blog postsTrain from Bankura to Delhi: After introduction of 12815/12816 puri-anvt express (earstwhile 915/916) in 1984 no new mass connectivity have been introduced to National capital except BBS rajdhani, though passengers to Delhi from Bankura districts have been increased multifold. Quota of Nandan Kanan express have been got evaporated just in a weeks after ARP. But no train passing kgp towards are run through mdn-Adra route, all the trains whether being it Src-anvt or Hlz-anvt trains are being devoid to run through this route. So I feel an weekly service from Kgp to Anvt via adra Ddu can address this situation if not so, any of Src-Anvt or Hlz-anvt can be diverted via Bankura-adra. Though 2nd option will draw ire from Tata passengers so I stress on 1st option i.e., new train.
A third Rajdhani is now required from Kolkata, via the SER route, though I would still keep the terminal as HWH...
Will a premium train pull enough of travellers from Kharagpur Adra and Gaya to Delhi? It will have travellers only during weekend and should be from ANVT on Friday and return on Sunday to reach on Monday morning. The utility of the rake will be low and have to rest for 4 days.

As usual, the large TB is of its counterpart, Nandan Kanan Express. Why doesn't Puri CDO bother to mention both train numbers in the board?
