Rajdhani Express running 25 hours behind schedule. The cold has led to reduced school attendance, with some private schools starting classes later for younger students. Several parents have requested the district administration to consider school closures or schedule changes due to the cold. The fog has disrupted train schedules, with trains from North India running significantly delayed. The New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express was delayed by 25 hours, the New Delhi-Howrah Poorva Express by 21 hours, and other trains are also experiencing delays. Due to the delays in down line trains, up line trains are being rescheduled, causing further inconvenience to passengers. To ease travel, the 18623/18624 Islampur-Hatia-Islampur Express is now making experimental stops at Tatisilwai and Namkum stations in Ranchi division starting January 15th.

through Muri station in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The 22846 Hatia-Pune Express is scheduled to depart at 11:30 PM from Hatia station, delayed by 5.5 hours from its original departure time of 8:00 PM. The 22823 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (via Muri) was originally scheduled to depart at 9:30 AM on January 15th but was delayed by 14 hours due to a delayed link rake and departed at 11:30 PM instead.
