इटारसी|रेल यात्रा के दौरान अलग-अलग दो ट्रेनों में दो वृद्ध यात्रियों की मृत्यु हुई। पहला मामला अहिल्यानगरी एक्सप्रेस में रविवार रात 11:40 बजे का है। इसमें एस-2 कोच में मृतक कुंजकुंज केके (75) अपने परिवार के साथ केरल से इंदौर की यात्रा कर रहे थे। उनके दामाद सुरेश हर्षवाल ने बताया ससुर को को सांस की बीमारी थी। बैतूल से निकलने के बाद तबीयत बिगड़ी और वह बेहोश हो गए। टीटीई को जानकारी दी।

This will help to add more trains and also reduce travel time.
CHENNAI: Passenger trains from and to Chennai Central will be rerouted through Perambur or Chennai Beach from September 6 to October 7.
Train No.13352 Alappuzha-Dhanbad express, scheduled to leave Central at 11pm will not touch the station from September 6 to October 6. It will reach Perambur at 10:15pm for a 20-minute stoppage. Train 12512 Thiruvananthapuram-Gorakhpur Raptisagar express, scheduled to leave from Central at 11:25pm on 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, 18, 20, 21, 25, 27 & 28 September and 2, 4 and 5 October will not touch Central. It will reach Perambur at 10:50pm for a 20-minute stop. Train 22648 Thiruvananthapuram-Korba express, scheduled to leave Central at 11:25pm from September 8-October 6 will not touch Central. The SR in its twitter page has given a good explanation & background for the same.The fifth and sixth lines are needed as movement of trains in the Moore Market Complex-Basin Bridge corridor is already constrained as both EMU trains as well as long distance express trains have to share the existing track.
The fifth and sixth lines will provide a separate corridor for EMU trains towards Arakkonam to ensure uninterrupted movement of suburban trains thereby reducing commuting time for passengers besides enhancing the sectional capacity.
PERMANENT AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS
The following trains are permanently augmented as detailed below:
1.Train No.16733 / 16734 Rameswaram – Okha – Rameswaram weekly express trains will be permanently augmented by one First Class AC-cum-AC 2-tier coach ex. Rameswaram from 26.08.2016 and ex. Okha from 30.08.2016.
good to see SR augmenting with non-AC coaches also !!
So i repeatedly requested to provide sectional coaches to and from PUNE jn to our south based trains ,since no southern trains are terminated in Pune ( except Pune - Earnakulam via konkan weekly)
Pune Ernakulam one weekly and a bi weekly are there
Probably a change in platform for 11041/42/27/28 will allow them to increase it to 20 coaches. At CSTM, from Pf no. 13 onwards all platforms can candle 24 coaches
Even Maintainence pitlines have holding capacity, this was the reason given by CR for a Grievance which was asked by one of the admins here..
CR has been continuously rejecting proposals for 24 coach rake for all trains bound to South from CSTM. PF and pit maintenance issues cited as concerns. this is happening only for South bound trains. If there are concerns, they can move all the trains to LTT and make them 24 coach rakes. Same reason cannot be given for years and years...
