The passengers travel in this train often seem to complain about lack of breakfast option in this train. Previously it use to halt at pf 3 or 4 of MB, now the stoppage has been shifted to pf1 which have many breakfast options, among them "Express Food Court" is best, it is situated near the front FOB one can get sandwich, Paratha, Omelette, cutlet, bhatura, samsoa, Paties and other cooked food item at that food court at a very reasonable price.

Useful tip but God Forbidden if this train doesn't get Pl 1 at MB due to some other train occupying it then we go back to Square 1 :)

Pantry Car is absent on this train as of now. As per my personal experience, the Food Order for Dinner is loaded from Asansol Junction. After that, it's straight away loaded from Mughalsarai Junction. So kindly carry Home Cooked Food in good quantity as a good back-up.

1. Do not forget to carry sufficient food from home(if possible, for the entire journey if you are going to ASR). Less stoppages and absence of pantry leaves you with very less food options.
2. If extra coaches are added, last 2-3 coaches(specially the AC-II coach) do not get pf at ASR.

I agree.... an LHB Rake can speed up this train even more... 120 Kmph MPS is required for this train to shorten the Calcutta - Amritsar Journey.. to around 24 Hours or so :)

DuRgiana Superfast fires, 25 minutes before at mughalsarai,From Amritsar to Howrah. Followed the Howrah Rajdhani Express Equivalently, Howrah Rajdhani dep Gaya Jn 4:30, DuRgiana 4:55.
