I traveled on this train on 19th January between Madgaon and Udupi. The train was late so I had the opportunity to have dinner from the Pantry Car. The PC serves only vegetarian food. The thali had rice, dal, paneer gravy curry, a mixed vegetable curry (again gravy), 2 thin rotis and curd. The cost was Rs 100. Please do try it during your next trip on this train. It would rank among the top 5 tastiest meals I have had on IR. I was told that the PC is operated by a Bikaner based contractor.

This train status eventhough improved from my last trip, cleanliness leaves much to be desired. coaches from 1990 to 1996. atleast did not find any rats and cockroaches this time. water in toilets were not there half the journey.
