If you are traveling from Salem,morappur to Chennai central and getting waiting list from Salem(PQ) then book tickets from Erode jn as it comes under GNWL and you can get confirm tickets or in case of waiting, it would have high chances of confirmation. Change the boarding point accordingly

Try to book ur seats in D1,D2,D3,D7,D8,D12,D13 these are the coaches with modern cushion seats
The punctuality of Kovai at MAS has gone for a toss since the last TT change as it now regularly arrives on an average 15 minutes late at MAS despite having a big slack after PER. Please take this into consideration if you have another train to catch at MAS.
