-Dont opt for sleeper,pathetic as hell.Daily commuters will try to take your seat.
-Charger points dont work,Rats and rodents can be found toilets always stink.

TT usually won't allow any passengers with general ticket to enter into reserved coach. He usually charges some amount for a seat (if empty). Might be one off case in my coach.
Is ten minutes enough to get packed food at Madgaon? Maybe mine was a different experience as it was a couple of years back. The Chappati and Chicken served before Madgaon was quite good
Cleanliness is an issue as it comes from Kerala as TVC-MAQ exp. But I totally disagree on "Daily passengers taking your seat". There are no daily passengers on this route and the people here are civilised enough to understand the difference between General coaches & Reserved coaches.
If you are from western suburbs ...and u need to save time and reach ur home as early as possible... then get down at panvel itself and catch a local to kurla nd then to dadar..... matsyagandha would be just arrived at thane and by that time u would be already in dadar :D Reason is it wastes a lot of time waiting at Diva outer and entering the mainline ... and moves slowly further till thane most of the time
Alternately, take a local Panvel to Wadala, there you take the Andheri local. There is a Panvel to Andheri local at about 6am.
Kurla/Dadar are to crowded if you have bulky luggage & families. Now you can book Ola Cabs online via their app & you will be picked within 10minutes, Far more cheaper & Comfortable Ac than prepaid taxi, not advisable for people with bulky luggage

Peak observed speed : 115km/hr between MULK/MULKI and UD/UDUPI.
Kundapur/Honnavar/karwar people...book frm udupi itself to mumbai (if in case there are waiting lists ) because udupi falls under general waitlist nd tickets will easily get confirmed even inspite of long WLs

DATTARAJ DEVIDAS NAIK 1 blog postsif u find pqwl from mao to ltt in any of the coaches try to book ticket from udupi to thane 80-90% chances of getting confirmed ticket or if gnwl below 20-25 , 100% chances of getting confirmed............ only u have to shell out additional 110 rupees but far good than struglling for tatkaal ticket in the queue..............
