Rake has been chillin' at NHLN PF 1 all day. They cleaned it up during the day, ya know? They finished moppin' the floors around 4:30 pm and then locked it up tight until 9:15 pm. Gotta keep it fresh and clean, you feel me?

Rake subah se NHLN PF 1 pe pada hua hai. Safai din mein hoti hai. Floor ka akhiri saaf safaai 16.30 baje tak ho jaati hai, phir Rake ko lock kar diya jata hai aur woh 21.15 baje tak lock rehta hai.
Isse saaf aur safai rahti hai.

Cleanliness - Bathrooms are usually clogged. People don't know how to flush. Housekeeping is nowhere to be found. People throw linen covers everywhere. Catering - It's pathetic. Only tea is available, no coffee. For dinner and lunch, they serve boiled rice with half-boiled egg/chicken/veg, calling it 'Biryani'. The meal options are always the same - paneer, egg, or chicken. (I haven't had it after NJP, so not sure about the quality) Rush - TTE sells unbooked seats without tickets. So the train gets quite full as it moves towards RNY NJP KIR. Punctuality - The train is almost always late in the RNY division. It runs smoothly in the APDJ & KIR division, but still can't make up for the delay. Linen - They provide linen, but no hand towels. Please note that there aren't many food options between NHLN and NCB stations. RNY might be an exception, but it's not reliable. Plan accordingly or be prepared to go hungry. The seats are comfortable, but avoid the side lower berths as they only have one seat that can be pulled up, and it doesn't work in most seats. So it reduces the seat width. Edit - On the return trip, I had dinner from the pantry car. Chicken meal costs ₹160, Egg costs ₹150, and Paneer costs ₹130. The taste and quality are just okay, nothing special.

So gets filled up substantially as it moves towards RNY NJP KIR. Punctuality - Almost regularly running late in RNY div. Gets good running in APDJ & KIR div. But not enough to cover up the delay. Linen - Available, but no hand towel provided. Pls note enroute stn from NHLN till NCB you won't find much to buy to eat. RNY being the only exception, but at such time remains a question mark.
