Worst train to travel from North east states to Delhi.
It always arrives late in night at awkward hours. And is always swarming with unreserved passengers and WL travellers , all thanks to lots of halts. Instead if have to travel in SL class then opt the Poorvattar sampark kranti. That Train also is poor in punctuality , but still it always arrives delhi by evening 6-7 pm which far more better than Northeast Express which always arrives Delhi by 10.30-11 pm or sometimes even 1-2 am.

Now Time to assign LHB to all Old is Gold Trains & provide the punctuality/priority

Yes right. Very dirty and I was at NJP last month. It was announced that the train was running late by indefinite hours.
For Delhi to North east not a single train except Rajdhani is reliable, all courtsey to zones through which they pass. NDLS - north east I would always prefer Rajdhani even if that is via longer route.
I don't like flights. This time also for mumbai trip i asked my father not to book in flight eventhough he insisted on it for 2 days but finally gave in, now going by hte - pune sf + deccan queen. My father often says, " baap ke paise se flight chadhte nahi ho, jab kamaoge to apne paise se kya khaak chadhoge". Actually everybody in my family has travelled via flight once or twice except me. And I am always in a chance how to deny my father for flight ticket. Rail journey ka mazaa kuch alag hai.
For Ranchi - Mumbai I will also prefer train....but for NE flight
For me to any destination flight last choice or only in emergency.
Best is flight from Guwahati (GAU) airport code. Trains should be last choice. Sometimes Raj 2A fare is more than Indigo/SpiceJet flights.
I will prefer trains everywhere but Kolkata Silchar/Guwahati or Delhi Guwahati Flight is better.
i travelled once in flight for Kashmir. as no train are there ..
and for the second time to Mumbai HYB. as fare was quite low... compare to LTT Secunderabad Duronto. (3A)
RAIL yatra ka toh alag hi maza h, lekin uske saath . yadi air ka fare kam ho w.r.t. train .. than flight is good option..

All the Rake are bad no water facilities & Light facilities in some coaches and all the rake is before 2002 Made by RCF Kapurthala and without Bio-Tiolets. Having bad smell in all the coaches even in AC Coaches.
