Decent catering by MoW available. But the apparent condition of the pantry is, as always, unhygenic.

Can't recall the exact amount for the snacks else would've put it. I guess it was 50-60 per set as shown.
For Samosas its Rs. 20 for 2.

As the festive seasons has arrived and there is huge crunch for confirm berth in trains especially those bound to Bihar and East U.P. So, I would like to share my tried and tested tricks which you can use at the time of booking a Tatkal ticket. Certainly there are other software too which can book a tatkaal ticket in 10-15 Sec. but they are illegitimate and using those can lead to you Jail so never ever use those Software. Now, lets talk our simple but effective tricks:-
1) Always login in your account at 10:59 and 09:59 of Sleeper and AC tatkaal booking respectively. After login, fill in the FROM & TO stations, Date of journey.
Click the submit Button exactly at 11:00 AM for Sleeper and 10:AM for AC.
3) Before login make your mind that in which train you want to book the ticket so that you are not in confused state still after login.
4) Save the name, age of all passengers in Auto fill of your browser prior to log-in to avoid filling those fields again and that can waste your time.
5) Never use a mode of payment that asks for OTP as sometimes OTP got stuck and in that time all seats get booked. Best to use any Password protected Debit card as they don't ask for OTP.
** If you complete all the steps of booking in 45-50 sec. then you could book any tatkaal ticket any time irrespective of the season and Rush.

OTPs are mandatory while using Net Banking, but using a "Debit Card" gives option to use "Visa/Master Card Password" as an alternative to OTPs.

That's why I have written that chose a specific mode for payment where OTP is not needed.

If you have to take a train from MFP/GKP to DLI, this train should number one on the priority list. The reason is quite simple. While trains through CNB-GZB route get delayed due to high congestion, this skips the crowd through the LKO-MB-ANVT route. Adding to this well known fact, MB division gives very high priority to this train. It has overtook nearly every morning train on the section when late. This is precisely the reason, even in dense fog conditions this has made it to Delhi not later than 1 PM (that too rarely).

Drinking water bottle crisis is common for this train. Especially during summer. Make sure you get it from the main entrance area of ANVT itself before boarding as the same isn't available on ANVT platforms either.
