My upcoming trip is in 12322 Kolkata Mail (Imperial Mail) on 13th December 2016 & I'm very much worried, I'm surely anticipating re-scheduling of it's departure from Mumbai itself, what's your say?

If your 12322 Imperial Mail is Rescheduled by 8-10 hrs, you can cancel your ticket and go via Nagpur in 12809 Mumbai Mail.

Traveled from CDG to DGR
Cleanliness: Top notch cleanliness. Even before it got refurbished the cleanliness was good. (In AC Coaches). Hence would rate it 4/5.
Food: Try avoiding the PC food. My personal experience, too much costly against what they are actually offering. Rather go for e-catering, because at same price would get better deal. Apart from that for snacks, breakfast etc it is good, but try avoiding for Lunch and Dinner.
Punctuality:

Quite a time take this train when could not get the Rajdhanis from New Delhi. Punctuality was worst for this train once. I personally have traveled both during winter and summer and my experience was really horrible. But recently everything has just changed to opposite. The punctuality of this train has increased to a lot. Now a much punctual train between Kalka and Howrah. But yes very unreliable during winter.
Security: Security is good. RPF, TTE and attendants are quite active. Once a off duty RPF sneaked inside the AC 3 coach by boasting as a Staff. The Attendant and the TTE forced him to sit outside and travel at the seat near the toilets.
Overall Experience: Good experience. Everything is good. If I have to choose in between Poorva and Kalka Mail, I would rather go for Kalka owing to its cleanliness and service. My personal opinion, different people have different opinion. But yes during winter quite unreliable, can even get late by more than 10 hours. So watch out for that during winters. Apart than that a very good train.

Coming from KLK to DLI in sleeper class is harrowing as the coaches are already filled up with unreserved paxs who just won't budge to give you your own seat. Happened on April 1 night with me and my friend. Even calling up RPF personnel deployed didn't help much and matter took turn for worse at CDG. Scores of people again boarded the SL coaches and looked up for floor space between our berths. Again we went to the RPF constables who directed us to instead talk to the TTE who told the constables to handle it. Much to our dismay they told that it wouldn't be of much help and we must rather upgrade to 3AC. We finally got our bags with us and went to TTE who then happily upgraded us by charging "FEE" of ₹600 for two people, though it was cheaper than getting a receipt from him....

Finally we went to our respective "upgraded" berths and had some peace on our platter.
From DLI to KLK the SL seats are usually available and it's a comfortable journey, though the train is usually already late by 2-3 hours. Hope it helps.

This train is a better opinion as a SF to Travel, As Poorva Exp Runs very Late and Rest of the trains are Expensive (Duronto/Rajdhani). If you Look at it's Late Margin even in Fog season, You will come to know that Kalka mail is 100 times more punctual than Poorva Express. It Performs Awesome on Such a Busy Route! Avg Delay is of 2hrs 15mins at HWH! However, It often reaches HWH on time or Slightly Before Time.

I aboslutely second that!! This train comes as a much favourite option just after Raj/Dur. I also have an honest confession to make......such a legend, still running on ICF coaches, till date. Why are they not upgrading this beauty to the more fast and modern LHB rakes?? Beats me!!

You must be familiar with it's Slip at CDG, ICFs are self power generating, detachment of coach is possible without having a Power cease, whereas in LHB a EOG or HOG is required to keep supplying Power. So, Attaching/Removing slip while Keeping Continuous power supply in Coaches is a impossible task. Moreover, Kalka mial requires atleast 4 Rakes of LHB
