The minimum Premium fare is the basic train fare plus the Tatkal charges, which vary from 10% to 30% with an upper limit depending on the class of travel. The maximum premium is up to 30% of the base fare or ₹400 (whichever is higher).
Yes, it would be good to have this feature.

I think an mobile application for IRI should be made, might be hard or even unfeasible but i had this thought for a long time now, because many times im unable to use IRI from Chrome (on both PC/Mobile) due to network issues or upload Pics because my phone is slow and sometimes fails to upload the pics especially when i have too many to upload, Yes FMT is there but its only for trips, not for general usage, So an IRI application would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Actually, such an integrated mobile app - called IRI Forum - is already about 80% complete, but has been lying in limbo for quite a long time - almost 2 years. The app will soon be released. Thereafter, all pic/video uploading will be semi-offline/online with no waiting - especially where there is spotty internet connection.

hi mod sir, just a question, from earlier blogs, there was an app called RailCal, what happened to that? the links for it are down now
Any links or direct fetching of information from official Rail servers has been explicitly blocked by the Govt/Railways. Hence, the RailCal app was discontinued. The Govt./IRCTC wants you to use only their apps for the above purpose. Pl. download the IRCTC app from Google Play or the App store.
