vgirik69 36 blog postsI have seen notification from ECoR Train no of 12801/02 Purushottam Superfast Express will be changed to 18401/18402 W.E.F 01.07.24. Good move. I feel 12727/28 also be down graded to normal express as for last 2 years Godavari lost its punctuality both SC side and VSKP side. Unnecessarily, SCR is charging SF for past passenger.

Well thats right, doesn't overtake, but time slot is fixed. Purushottam exp will go first to ndls and the poorva exp follows it, almost 2 hours difference on arrival but from gaya jn while departure, it is almost an hour difference. I know that Poorva has diff route after DDU.
If gets delayed than 12801 has to arrive first even though late by 1 hour.
They are many such trains Gowthami,Janmabhoomi come in line which are always late in both sides. Lot of other overnights of SCR have 56kmph.
You are highly mistaken if you think that Purushottam had a bigger priority than Poorva. Nowadays it has become fashionable to bash anything regarding WB, but don't forget Poorva still connects two Metro cities...

Don't have such stereotype views that I am disgracing anything regarding WB. It is simply not related with that. WB is having 2 durontos and Rajdhani trains for NDLS. +3 daily trains for CSMT. Direct trains for BSB,HW and what not. I am from Tata, and i want quality trains for BSB, SC, MAS. And that one quality train,(12801) is going to be snatched soon from our hands.
NWR should start a new bi weekly train service between Ajmer & Guwahati via Kisangarh- Phulera - Jaipur - Bharatpur - Agra Cantt - Etawah - kanpur Central - Lucknow - Sultanpur - Jaunpur city - Varanasi - DDU - Buxer - - Patliputra - Hajipur - Barauni - khageria - Naugachiya - Katihar - Kisanganj - NJP - New cooch Bihar - New Bongaigaon - Rangia - kamakhaya - Guwahati

Earlier it was planned along with VB Shed but now VB shed is getting planned at Nishatpura along with new pitlines for BPL.
