The number of travellers from Gorakpur Basti and Ayodhya which is the first section to Rae Bareily and Prayag into extended section is 3100 รท 64 trips comes to an avg of only 48 travellers of the total capacity of 480 means 10% occupancy. The next leg Lucknow to Prayag 7200 travellers which comes to 125 making total of 175 travellers approx to Rae Bareily Prayag so occupancy is less then 40% how can you say number of travellers in end to end is successful in Gorakpur Prayag section. In return from Prayag , Rae Bareily to Lucknow and Beyond upto Gorakpur total 15132 รท 64 240 avg means only 50% occupancy. So thus cannot be termed as successful.

Yes, people are going to prefer direct trains inbetween these cities, that's why I was expecting this VB to be superflop again after extension upto Prayagraj but it's doing decent numbers, although extension upto Agra would have been more feasible imo.
Immediately band kar dena chahiye isse Ye zig zag route intercity ke layak bhi nahi hai VB chala rahe hai.
Band to nahi hogi Bhai,NER ki pehli aur abhi eklauti VB hai, aur waise bhi ab to earn karna start kar di hai nahi to pehle superflop thi.
