Mega block started on May 17, ended on May 30. CRS Mr. R K Sharma and his crew been hustling from morning till night, double-tracking work from Raou to Mahoo, checked out the stations, technical stuff, ya know. Had a chat with the officials, then gave the green light at night. So, from May 31, trains will start arriving at Mahoo Ambekar Nagar Station. From June 1, trains will start rolling in and out of Mahoo Station just like before.
After checking out the CRS report, trains will start arriving at Mahoo Ambekar Nagar from today, Friday. Word on the street is, the first train, a Demu, will arrive at 1:50 in the afternoon, coaches will be taken straight to the platform. After that, other trains headed to Prayagraj and Rewa, that used to go straight to Mahoo, will start running regularly. From June 1, scheduled operation towards Indore will commence as before. Announcement coming soon about some new trains kicking off. Also, inauguration of the new railway station building is in the pipeline.
*Reservations and ticket counters...*
According to the info received, it's been revealed that reservation counters will only be placed in the new building, while the length of the building has reached the old railway station. In this case, the reservation counters at the old railway station should not be closed, it would be unfair to Mahoo passengers if they were shut down. Therefore, the railway needs to maintain both, reservation windows and ticket counters. Additionally, there's a proposal to construct a new building on Mal Godam Road, where there should also be provisions for reservation and ticket counters. This should be done temporarily for now, as it causes inconvenience to passengers. Management of the new platforms will start soon, with the last platform being towards the warehouse, so it's crucial to provide ticket facilities there too, the railway administration should start considering this from now.
