LADIES QUOTA rules.
I am interested in knowing ladies quota rule.
I booked ticket for wife and mother under ladies quota.
I put wife's name first when booking
Wife age 35, mom age 70.
now
...
my problem is wife's ticket got confirmed under ladies quota (LD) and mom's ticket under RAC general quota.
now when i check ladies quota rule, it says women age should be above 45.
somewhere i read that, for some trains, rule allows woman of any age.
how do i know what rule is applicable?
will ticket checker allow this because instead of mother's name first, i put wife's name first?
train number - 59460
please guide
thank you.

IN this case what happened is , there should have only one LD quota seat available while booking and that is allotted to your wife and the second passenger is given RAC in GN booking. Its absolutely fine as there is no age criteria for LD quota. BTW when is your date of journey?
As Kamesh Sir said find if any LB seats are available and book it for your mother, but it is not guaranteed that you will get in the same coach.
