U guessed it rght..its a dead end for IR Purpose.,,,while TPS branch Line run forward till TPS!!
If u chck station map, u get the answer!!
Its like POK,,,where if train gets in, then it has to reverse to get moved to other direction!!

Was there any reason to construct like dis, or any hindrance to construct line through tps end of stn. Or rly officials were so clever in prli that they wanted every passing train to halt there.
There could have been...probable reasons:
1. Geographical Constraints
2. PRLI connected to one way earlier (Like only with Parbhani) & with time, Latur RD Connectivity would have been created, leading this way track lay-out...again geographical constraint!!
Its all guess, as dunno mch about those region, apart from these location been uneven terrain!
