Thanks for sharing. I wonder why name is not written in urdu along wit national language Bengali
Because except English which is the de-facto co-official language of Bangladesh, Bangladesh has only one official language that is Bangla unlike India which has 23 official languages.
As of year 2006, Bangladesh had 919,000 'Stranded Pakistanis' who mostly belong to the Urdu speaking Bihari community. They aren't considered as the citizens of Bangladesh and don't have any voting rights as most of them supported the Pakistani Razakars during the Bangladesh Liberation War. In 2008 the High Court in Dhaka ruled that 150,000 Biharis, who were minors at the time of the war, could be given citizenship in Bangladesh and voting rights. This is also to be extended to those Bihari born since the war, giving them a path to citizenship rights...
