In a situation where e-ticket was purchased for 2 passengers and one got confirmed and the other was left in WL. the passengers decide to share the berth and travel. However since its an e-ticket, the WL tickets gets cancelled and hence they have to pay the TTE the full fare while on train. Apart from this is there any additional fine that has to be paid and if yes, how much?

If Two Different PNRs the one Fully W/L after charting shall get automatically cancelled and that ticket can't be used for traveling.
