thank you very much for the info, i asked this question because, last month while i was travelling in netravati express to mumbai the status was like this ticket was rac and i got a confirmed SLB, but when i checked the chart in train, another person's name was also assigned to same seat number from CLT-LTT. luckily the person didnt show up
