A #PIL will be filed shortly before the concern Court to enforce fundamental and statutory rights of socially and economically weaker class of passengers who used to travel in general class, 2nd seating and sleeper class especially in long route trains and further to stop unjust enrichment by unfair trade practices

Aforesaid issues already before CCI i.e. COMPETITION COMMISSION OF INDIA Compulsory food in Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express: and Long-term contracts for food vendors at railway stations: There is usually a single food court monopoly at the larger stations, created by the Railways itself. There is effectively no competition for these food courts and people who cannot afford the expensive meals at these outlets have no other alternative.

Thanks for valuable view but requires relevant official data such as late running of trains, action taken by Railway to remove reason of delay, reason of delay during foggy season and non-foggy season etc. If you or any of your friend have/has such data please share with me. I would be more than happy if I get a chance to include delay reason in my PIL. minturaj@gmail.com

please add one more point , why railways is not allowing refund of any money after dep of train ,presently it is 2 hours for Confiremd tkt and 3 hours for waitlist tickets, does teh railway ru berth empty if particular passeger/passeger does not travel due to unforssden circumstance , like sickness, trafic jam or other reason , but in case railway run train full as vacant berth si alloted to oter passeger , both TTE( tips) and raiwlay get extra money for same berth
