NDD-BVRT-GDV doubling may not help much as fright wont take longer route. Most of the fright goes to Kakinda and vizag ports only. It only helps that region to get more trains.
If kotipalli-Narsapur line laid then this doubling helps.

I am not telling about Freight but for General purpose,to run more passenger trains which can use BVRT Route.Also as seen Distance difference is not much just 27 Kms more.Right Kotipalli-NS if done it shall be useful in many ways.
Both Are in Progress but Electrification is much faster in progress...
But still it will extra junction slack..Not much useful for long distance trains. Main demand is for fright...they wont take route as they hav to pay more.
The people from VSKP region are fighting from the past 15 years for a new zone. Just because of bifurcation Govt. thinking of creating new Railway Zone with BZA as head quarters. HQ should be given to VSKP as that is the dream for the region after all VSKP will not become Capital to AP in spite of all its strengths, infrastructure, facilities, transport, international airport etc.
Moreover the income from VSKP division itself is more than 5000 Cr per year, lot of Rly land is available in and...
