Hello Everybody,
I have planned to go to Shoranur Jn on 11th/April/2014 and took ticket in 12601/ Manglore SF but i got a Waiting List of 31(PQWL) . Due to Vishu and Weekend situation the Waiting List is not improving. So day before yesterday noticed that on 10th April, 16859/Chn Egmore-Manglore 2S(Second Seating) was available.
I have never travelled in this train ? and that too never traveled in 2S (Second Sitting)?
...
Will it be manageable for me to travel for 16 Hours in Non-AC Second Class Sitting ?? Post your experience or knowledge on this situation guys?
Thanks in advance

No issues bro, even i am in the same condition for my onward travel travel VIA Kongan and return through interior KA. This is the utmost character of an IR fan. BTW you will have your sunrise at TPJ from where the train travels along with R.Kaveri till Erode. Rich paddy fields and the mighty Kaveri will feed your eyes. From Erode to Coimbatore you can see many tanks and Kongu Suburbs, nothing else; Then from CBE you can have a very old co-passenger who has seen centuries in this subcontinent, the western ghats !

In his entire travel, only in this stretch he can see intensive agricultural crops which are cultivated through canal irrigation on riverine basins, where alluvial soil is predominantly found. Though VRI_TPJ can have similar agricultural systems, he cannot view as the train passes that stretch in night. And after ED no paddy only toddy :P except for PGT plains. So i said he can see paddy fields in that stretch and yes with betel climbers(Vettrilai), Sugarcane, Turmeric and Banana as you say.
