it is such a beautifull city and like mentioned it is gateway to Kedarnath , badrinath , gangotri but does not have any direct connectivity with Kolkata, Lucknow,Varanasi,GKP and many other important cities WHY ????

Already HWH bound trains arnt deprieved of any patronage issue, from HW/DDN!!
Its not required just for 20 kms: diversion to a station which dont have maintenance facility neither track & bridge up to the mark to handle load factor of long rake train!!!
