Hi , i had read in newspaper somewhere that there is railway rule which says if you booked a confirmed ticket and do not board train from the specified station then ttc have right to alot your seat to any other passenger after waiting for you upto next two stations. Is it right? If yes then can anybody give related citation.
Thank you
Thank you

actually one of my friend booked a ticket from tirupati to new delhi but he is planning to board the train from secunderabad. He booked it from Tirupati because at the time of booking secunderabad was showing wait-listing while tirupati was showing more than 100 seats available so that's why in the greed of confirmed seat he booked it from tirupati. So in view of such a huge distance between tirupati and secunderabad in addition to that heavy holiday traffic in may month ,what are the chances that his seat will not be alotted to any other passenger. Or is their any other solution you would like to give for the given situation so that he will not face any difficulty.
