If i m travelling in SL class of any Train, I prefer always Middle Berth.
Reason:
1. Most of the ppl will not prefer to swap this Berth
2. there wont be much dust/dirty in Middle berth. Because , even If any Dust/dirrty the ppl who sits in lower berth would wipe the dust/dirty in their back.. so it ll be cleaned...

Ha ha Good Preference...Only Problem could be you cannot sleep much late in the morning time.
