Hello to all... Dear IRI members, i am travelling tomorrow by this train a very short journey around 200 KMS for some marriage purpose and i already made a ticket all are confirm in SL class... but the thing is that now another 1 person is going to join us so when i searched now it is showing waiting list so what i will do please help me... can i take a general ticket for this train and the person can travel with us in Sleeper is it possible... if yes then please tell me the process... thanks 2 all of u

Travelling with a proper ticket n ID is always advisable. Gen ticket will attract penalty of Rs 250 plus fare difference which will ultimately become more than a reserved ticket

when i went for ticket in counter it was showing 30WL... but when i booked the ticket it got cnfrmd... i was shocked how dis will happen den i got da answer it was a Senior Citizen ticket dats y... so one thing i came to knw ysterday dat in IR they have SC quota also...
yes zeeshan ji, IR does has a SS quota where some lower berths are reserved to Females 45 and above and Males 60 and above.
to utilize this quota, you will have to book single ticket of passenger.
suppose you are travelling with the lady, and you book a single ticket for both of you then you would have got WL30,31 (even though there is a female above 45, but still WL)
