Hi everyone. i have a confirmed Sleeper ticket to travel. Now the issue is, my 7 year old nephew wants to come along with me. The status right now is GNWL88/WL59. Can I book a ticket for him and travel with him?

i contacted the toll free number and the person told me, that I can travel with the child, but if the TTE charges any amount, I can file the TDR...

TDR is ticket deposit receipt in which you can get the refund later.
In normal conditions , if you have a WL PRS PNR for a child with 7 yrs, and if you are ready to share berth for him, there wont be any issues.
But,by rule, If TTE charges any fine for entering a reserved coach with WL ticket, You can't claim for TDR with EFT.

I guess your question has been answered to clearly by Nazeer ji.
My advice would be not to worry too much, afterall its "Indian" Railways and there's always a way out of every problem ;)
