As a part of my August tour, I am planning to have a tour from Hassan to Udupi/ Mangalore by this train. Actually I want to witness the beauty of Sakleshpur-Subrahamanya Road & related ghat sections. Now my question is that, As a single passenger with all my luggage (including laptop & other valuables), is it safe to to travel in 2S ? As there may be safety issues even after going toilet:) Now to resolve this issue, if I travel in CC, then I may be deprived partly to enjoy the nature. So, what do you people suggest ? Another thing is that, should I carry lunch with me ?

Dear members, thank you very much for all of your help & useful information based on which I was supposed to travel comfortably during August in Karnataka. But unfortunately due to my family as well as company assignments, my entire trip is cancelled & I am going to Kolkata.
