The train has a route : ASR-Jallandhar-Ludhiana, and from Ldh , it gets diverted to, Dhuri, Patiala, Rajpura which is a non electrified single line till Rajpura and then the loco gets changed at UMB. Same is when the train is moving towards ASR, the WAP 1/4/7 gets detached and replaced with TKD WDM 3A or WDP 4B till ASR. Now, the Rajpura-Patiala-Dhuri- Ludhiana line had been sanctioned for electrification and detailed estimates for which are sent for approval. The work is about to start any time. And after that we may see the WAP 1/4/7 hauling the train straight to ASR and back.
