Why lights get off in local trains when they deaccelerate ?? This question was asked to me by external in viva of electric power system ! :D

The same reason when u decelerate the cycle, the light dims..
Thanks...and one more question...how earthing is provided on electrified railway routes...this question was asked to one of my friends who replied through metallic wheels of loco...was he correct ? I am doubtful about his answer
They have metallic strips for earthing. U can see s metallic strip comming from thepost and attached to the rails.
