We want to lodge our strong objection (based on news paper article file attached here) on Railway Board directive to all zonal CCM to allow on board booking of vacant berths in Premium train by adding penalty of Rs 250/- on last booked ticket amount the highest.
The move is very customer unfriendly and against all business ethics...

penalty is 250 .. how u saying 520 ?
in premium train paying penalty is no surprise.
in premium train paying penalty is no surprise.
why should one pay penalty for utilization of vacant berths? fare should be closing fare which is anyway thrice the opening fare. how much greed is too much greed?
On FB page some 3 hrs back IR posted this statement:
In a major boost to its passenger operations and earnings, the Indian Railways has successfully run 683 trips of Premium Trains along select sectors where demand is high. The average occupancy recorded has been 96.9%.
Also, in the first quarter of FY 2014-2015, Premium Trains have carried 6.66 lakh passengers, gaining an earning of Rs 120.48 crore over this period.
