My first Parallel Railway action :
A rarely captured Parallel action between 51410 Kolapur Pune passenger coming from Kolaphur and 11078 JAT PUNE Jhelum Express coming from Daund. As my Alco hauled passenger chugs and accelerates from Ghorpadi towards Pune, 1 hour 30 minutes late running Jhelum Express joins from Daund giving an exciting parallel action for a few minutes. appears, once cab hear the humming sounds of the EMD monster. Eventually both trains slow down and are stopped before they enter Pune junction due to non availability of platforms. Pune, despite being a busy station has shortage of platforms and almost all trains are made to wait at station outskirts before they enter the station. In this case, Jhelum express finally won the race as it got clearance before our train.Sadly, Our train was made to wait for 40 minutes and given the last preference after availability of platform 6. I wish more platforms be constructed in Pune or they can upgrade station like Hadapsar for handling north bound trains, which can easily reduce the traffic at Pune Junction.
