रेल मंत्रालय स्‍पष्‍ट कर देना चाहता है कि भारतीय रेल राष्‍ट्रीय वाहक के रूप में अपनी भूमिका में सभी वर्गों/श्रेणियों के यात्रियों की जरूरतों को पूरा करती है और इस समय रेलवे की सभी ट्रेनों से स्‍लीपर क्‍लास डिब्‍बे हटाकर उनके स्‍थान पर एसी-3 टियर डिब्‍बे लगाने की कोई योजना नहीं है।
