Nice... but I wonder that how will EDFC tracks cut through the hilly ghat geography of Parasnath - Koderma - Dilwa - Paharpur Stretch that has recently faced a land slide due to heavy rains :-p

Thanks... I think that the Eastern Freight Rail Corridor can be translated in Hindi as "पूर्वी माल ढुलाई रेल मार्ग" [Poorvi Maal Dhulai Rail Marg] as the literal Hindi meaning of Corridor is "गलियारा" [Galiyara] and that doesn't suit to be included as a word within the name of this project ;-)

as it was done previously during the construction of Grand chord section.
thats why Govt. is trying to complete other section quickly to meet the deadline by 2017. dhanbad DC again called a meeting this week for freight corridor land transfer.

It seems that IR will dig into hills n ghats for laying tracks just like in Banihal - Qazigund Section in J & K :-)
