Don't worry brother. you need not buy that expensive ticket all the time. Instead ,my company bought an Eu-Rail pass for me, by which I traveled extensively whole of Western Europe (except Spain and portugal ), Eu-Rail pass is for Non Eu citizens.
Let me check my itienary ,I'll pass on the cost of the pass which were required.
