Is cancellation not permitted at all?
I thought it is like tatkal where you get zero refund on cancellation.

no option to cancel premium train tickets at irctc. rac1 remains rac 1
Cancelling will help waitlisted pax. I have seen many ppl cancelling confirmed tatkal tickets. It prevents misuse of the vacant berths by TTE
