since itarsi is a very big station, its not possible to pass through at 100 kmph it has got to be considerably slowed down to enter itarsi, pass through the lines and re join the main line again and gather speed. itarsi stop was not there till some years back. it used to pass this station at a slow speed when it did not stop at itarsi, now its stopping. there maynot be mch differenc if it does not stop here in the timings. the train has got the power to maintain speed and timings with the present stoppages.
