The Journey was plannd on 10 June 2014 From New Delhi.It Was myh frst ever jrney in a LHB train..we reachd the statn at 5.50..I was accompanied by myh mother..entering from Paharganj side Platform 1 I got the Opportunity of Spotting The King of Indian Railways Bhopal...
more... Shatabdi....We Headed towards the Platform Nmbr 9....jst as we were cmng down frm stairs GZB WAP-5 30026 powered New Delhi Lucknow Shatabdi was being shunted...we had our C9 coach in nearly the middle of train...one window seat..still 10 mins were left so I got down from Train and did some RailFanning dere..I ws amazed to spot Shram shakti Express which arrivd NDLS even bfore tym by 15 mins...I cpturd it and some other trains like Neelanchal and Purushottam Express...Meanwhile BPL Shatabdi deprtd bang on Tym...The newspapers were placed on seats...The Coaches were clean...I Boarded the train back..exact at 6.15 The WAP whistld and moved towards LJN..Soon we were servd wid a water bottle(1litre) wid a disposable glass...the train crawld all its way till Ghaziabad Junction oiter..where its wheels were halted...aftr 20 mins train moved To GZB...Only 3 to 5 passengers boarded the train..train movd exlctly aftr 2 mins halt...Widin few mins we got our tickets chckd...An announcement was made regarding the food that passengers who will to take food home cn take it home....Charging sockets were wrking fine...Soon we were srvd by Tea, Parle Marie(Special packet wid two biscuits) and a packet comprising of tea making materials(Pic.1)...train gaind speed between gzb and aligarh..i cd only spot one passenger boarding the train...as sson as d train departd we were servd d breakfast...The Breakfast comprised of Veg and Non Veg as usual...Veg contained Two pieces of Browhn Bread, Amul Butter, Tomato Ketchup, Upma Vada, Sambhar and Nariyal chutni(Pic.2) ..Non veg containd Bread omlet...aftr sum tym while everyone was bsy in breakfast Tea Ws once again servd..aftr every passenger had tea Mattha And Chaach were Servd (whichever u take)...we slowly movd into Tundla Junction f4om where no passenger entrd..Till dis tym d train ws late by 30 mins...Train movd ahead and it was ready fr some speedy action and recovering some time...the train did not disappoint me in speed bt it faild to recover delayd tym..d train ws doing 130 kmph cnstantly with WAP Hnking madly...widout getting frthr delay we reachd Kanpur Central..d train halted fr 5 mins and movd towards ganga bridge..It slowly kept on moving till it crossd Kanpur Left Bank station..D disappointmnt increasd aftr crossing Unnao..train was jst crawling all tym long was halted at Amausi fr 15 mins and den very slowly crossd Manaknagar and den came d psr of LJN Curve..Thus d Train included an Additional delay of 20 mins...We reachd LJN finally at 13.20 late by 50 mins approx...Although the train was late but it did not disappoint me on the mattr of cleanliness speed service and food quality...
Some observations:
Cleanliness:Very Good
Food Quality:The food was hot and fresh, d cups were clean even on secnd tym
Charging point:Were Wrking all
Staff of Meals On Wheels:Very Helpfull and polite
Toilets: Clean
Suggestions
1.GZB stop shd be removd as it will prevent delay from first statn only
2.Even TDL and ETW shud be removd(as I saw no one boarding the train from there onwards)
3. Some more slack shud be given so that it completes the psr of LJN entrance on tym Frm Manaknagar
4.NR should stop discriminating wid trains of NER
Bt 1 imprtant point that The punctuality of the train has deteriorated since transfr frm LKO to LJN
