Sir, like you I also want that the loco link of 12259/12260 SDAH NDLS Duronto should continue with WAP7 of either GZB shed or HWH Shed permanently from the core of my heart as this is the "First Duronto" of Indian Railways. So this demand arises out of the irresistible nostalgia associated with this train.
But I know it very well that Eastern Railway will not provide WAP7 for SDAH NDLS Duronto it will provide only WAP4 for this train and in future it will also continue this train with the "Red Beast" not with the "White Stallion".

member also expressed that the lack of maintenance of WAP7 in the Narkeldanga ELS at SDAH is the most probable reason for not allotting WAP7 forSDAH NDLS Duronto, as WAP7 is very few in number and only housed at HWH Shed or GZB Shed and requires "Proper Maintenance".
On the contrary it is also true that all Delhi Bound Rajdhanis from Kolkata will continue with "WAP7" in future, whatever may be the circumstance. Because Rajdhani is a "Premium Train/VVIP Train" in the eye of Rail Board and should be hauled with a "Premium Loco" but Duronto is not falling in this category.
So we have to satisfy ourselves by seeing WAP7 as an "Offlink" of SDAH NDLS Duronto and cherish about the "Past Golden memories" associated with this "Non Stop Train".
Because this decision of railboard(Allotting WAP4 to SDAH NDLS Duronto) is too hard to change.

I apologise if this viewpoint of mine has upset you or any other WAP7 fan, but this is the painful truth sir. You can't ignore it.
