IR feels that since they need to meet the extended dead line of DFC Projects from 2011 to 2017 then they can't relay on time-consuming manual track construction work. These NTC Machines will speed up their work and already as per an Internet News item, some Kms of track in South India have been completed on a particular route within a few days through these NTC Machines that would otherwise take around 2 years. IR can't afford more cost-over runs from original Rs.24,000 Crore to present Rs. 70,000+ Crore. Original #EDFC Work started in 2008 so Technology Zindabad :-)
