i have a waiting ticket which i reserve through railway counter .is it valid to travel??? or it get invalid as e-ticket get??

your PRS booked ticket does not automatically get cancelled. You are entitled to travel in the unreserved coaches on the train with your waitlisted ticket. However it does not automatically mean you can board the reserved coaches, even though its common practice around the country. If its not for a shatabdi, rajdhani type train then you should speak to the TTE first before boarding reserved compartments to be safe.
There was some news that railway had changed their rules in which window W/L ticket is also invalid???
