A weekly super-fast special express train will be operated from Visakhapatnam to Tirupati and back by the East Coast Railway to clear the extra rush during the festive season.
Train no. 02873 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati weekly super-fast express will leave Visakhapatnam on Mondays, i.e. on October 6, 13, 20 and 27; November 3,10, 17 and 24, and on December 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 4.45 p.m. and reach Tirupati at 4.30 a.m. on the following day.

return direction the train no.02874 Tirupati-Visakhapatnam weekly super-fast express will leave Tirupati on Tuesdays, i.e. on October 7, 14, 21, 28; November 4, 11, 18 and 25, and on December 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 4 p.m. to reach Visakhapatnam at 5.15 a.m. on the next day.
These pair of trains have stoppages at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Renigunta between Visakhapatnam and Tirupati. The train consists of one second AC, two third AC coaches, nine sleeper class coaches, six general second class coaches and two second class-cum-luggage coaches in its composition, according to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Waltair Division) M. Yelvender Yadav.
