Cant understand why bhagalpur bound trains are unnecessarly stopped in jamalpur for more than the schedule time extra from 10 min,15 min even 35 min extra for rnc bgp exp.what is operator doing at jamalpur.Long distance passenger travelling in these train are suffering stress due to this.
That us because there is single line beyond Jamal pur towards next statiob
bahut dinon ke baad aapka post aaya....NFR mein haathi sab sahi hi na;P
trains are detained at jamalpur due to the single track between jamalpur-ratanpur on bgp-jmp section.soon the jamalpur tunnel is going to be doubled and problem will be solved.
Instead of building another tunnel, they should just upgrade the BGP-JMP line to go via Munger. BGP to Patna via MGR will only add 5-10 kms to the distance but will help develop the region further.
yeah ur point is right .initial plan was this only that they will built a brand new munger junction and scrapping jamalpur junction and jamalpur tunnel.but due to high cost they later scrapped this plan.they had even send notice to land owners for acquiring land near safiabad(mgr-jmp road).it would have done wonders to this region in commercial term.
