What happens when a ticket is booked for 2 people in Rajdhani in Tatkal Quota . One of which is confirmed and other is waiting after chart preparation??
A verbal negotiation with the TTE on board is required. If he allows, proceed and adjust on one seat. If he doesn't, file a TDR for the wait-listed passenger.
File it online through IRCTC within 3hrs of train departure through 'File TDR' option.
Select "Party partially Wailisted/confirmed and Waitlisted Passenger did not travel" as the reason for filing the TDR.

2) In case of partial CNF PNR, (e-tkt) and the WL pax is not traveling get certificate from TTE for WL pax not traveling with you and send it to IRCTC NDLS, after FILING ONLINE TDR
