it cant be taken away by ECOR and extended up to BBS because the extension will require another rake.the DURONTO will cater to the needs of VSKP bound passengers .GARIB RATH does need terminal facility at VSKP because its praimary maintanance is done at secunderabad, not at VSKP. The train has its own power generator cars. plz dont side track discussion.
No garibrath extension to palasa is not at good option. There are lots technical problem to extened this train to a small station like Palasa, from where even there is no ordinary express. For BBS there 2 new connections recently added. One BBS-PUNE via SC will bypass VSKP, BBS-SHIRIDI weekly ....and HWH-SC also going to to follow BBS route. They are enough.
Dont worry about the train which is running already with peak waiting lists. If they really worry about the SC connecting it better to operate Puri-SBC vacant garibrath to SC,...

SC-VSKP is a jam packed train. VSKP-PSA is well connected. Only GR which runs daily, that says it all about this train.

Trains like Garib rath and Duronto need good occupancy to run otherwise they before non profitable and run like white elephants. These type of trains are for high density corridors and not for connectivity to towns. If it is extended then there will be not even 30% occupancy between VSKP and Palasa. You can see the same for Visakha Express once it leaves VSKP half of the train remains empty with only day time passengers with II nd class general ticket. The best way is to increase the coaches of visakha express to 22 as it is present running with 19 only and 2 SL and 1AC 3 Tier.
