This shows Shortage of Electric Locomotives. With more and more trains getting introduced/extended in yearly Railway Budget, Premium Express Specials (Dynamic Pricing), Holiday Specials, some unelectrified sections of Railways getting Electrified, Some electric locos more than 35 years old getting scrapped, freight traffic increasing like anything all over India shows acute shortage of Electric Locomotives. Although Electric Locomotives are being manufactured at a good pace but they are unable to cope up with the demand of oversaturated railway traffic.
