Seniors please advise if RLWL1/WL1, for 1AC, for this train (JP-MYS SF Express, Train #12976), for the journey sector BPL-KCG (date of travel: 20th Nov., 2014; Boarding Point: BPL, reservation up to KCG), for a 'senior citizen travelling alone' (I presume some weightage is given to this) could get confirmed by the day of travel. If the probability/chances are high that this would get confirmed, then I shall go ahead and book the 1AC ticket (Current Availability Status for 1AC, for 20/11/2014: RLWL1/WL1). Thanks.
Sir you should book but just wanted to clarify that Senior Citizen traveling alone wont make any difference unless there is SS quota on this sector which doesn't seem to be the case. Indian Railway does not give 'weightages' to any factor, only quotas matter and are allotted in the order of reservations made.
Thanks to all members who have given their expert advice. I have just now (at 11.20 pm) gone ahead and booked the 1AC ticket for the said date (i.e., boarding @ BPL on 20th Nov., 2014., with reservation up to KCG), and posted the PNR enquiry here: /blog/post/1247617. Current Status RLWL1. Thanks.
