more... body of a 23-yearold Manipuri youth was found beside the railway tracks near Bagnan station late Sunday night. An identity card in the name of Sohram Kanta, a resident of Lukermani Leikai in Patsoi, Imphal, was found on the body. Bagnan GRP said they have informed his family and his kin are arriving to claim the body.
No one is sure yet how he fell.
Some sources in Manipur believed he was on the GuwahatiBangalore Express, but a ticket for Guwahati-Howrah Saraighat Express was found on the body.
South Eastern Railway and GRP officials said they are yet to received any complaint. “We can’t say anything except that the body was found by trackmen who informed GRP and they took charge. We can’t even say which train he was on,” an SER spokesperson said.
On February 26 this year, 31year-old Pratul Deka, a resident of Assam, was found injured by the tracks near Chandanpur station in Hooghly. Locals took him to hospital where he died.
